Bangkok CityCity (1).jpg

Introducing a parallel screening program, presented as part of the public program in conjunction with I a Pixel, We the People, an exhibition by Chulayarnnon Siriphol This program features four video works by Yuen Nga Chi (Hong Kong), Zhang Zimu (Hong Kong), Su Yu Hsin (Taiwan) and Mia Yu (China). Curated by Choi Sin-yi (Emilie), a researcher, writer and curator based in Hong Kong. The screening will be on view at BOOKSHOP LIBRARY at Bangkok CityCity Gallery until June 21, 2025.

The concept of the archive has traditionally been grounded in a human-centered perspective. But what if we reimagine the archive through different materialities, species, and sensory experiences? This program offers a speculative lens to explore how archives can be formulated through otherwise terms and relations—across multispecies entanglements and sensory registers. From dolphins and nuclearity to blast furnaces and fossil fuels, the works engage with diverse forms of archival imaginaries within and beyond the Asian context.

Featured works:
Yuen Nga Chi, Monuments: Flipper, Ada and Honey Chapter 1: Ada (2019-2023)
Zhang Zimu, Letter to T: In Nuclearity, We Are Connected (2023)
Su Yu Hsin, Blast Furnace No. 2 (2022)
Mia Yu, Eme Cosmos (2024)
